About the Position
A luxury lodge and hotel group based in Bryanston, Johannesburg, is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to secure new business and maintain existing client relationships.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ sales experience within the hospitality industry, preferably with a hotel or lodge group. The candidate should also have established contacts and relationships with travel agents, corporates, PCOs, and production houses.
This role requires a dynamic, target-driven individual who can work independently, build strong relationships, and represent the company professionally in the market.
Purpose of the Role
Promote the image, services, and offerings of the company.
Drive growth by sourcing new clients, contracts, and business opportunities.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and partners.
Manage all aspects of the sales process, from prospecting to reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Source and secure new business for the lodge and hotel group.
Maintain and grow existing client relationships.
Build strong relationships with travel agents, corporates, PCOs, production houses, and industry partners.
Conduct professional business presentations, client meetings, and sales calls.
Represent the company at workshops, trade shows, networking events, and client functions.
Manage the company sales database and ensure client information is accurate and up to date.
Prepare sales reports, activity reports, and market feedback.
Promote company services, packages, and properties to relevant target markets.
Identify new sales opportunities and market trends.
Negotiate rates, contracts, and business terms professionally.
Attend after-hours functions when required.
Travel for business development, client meetings, and industry events.
Work independently while meeting sales targets and company objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Matric required.
Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field will be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in the hospitality industry.
Proven sales track record.
Existing industry relationships with travel agents, corporates, PCOs, and production houses will be highly advantageous.
Valid South African ID.
Valid driver’s licence.
Must be willing and able to travel.
Must be available to attend after-hours functions.
