IT MANAGER

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own vehicle.

Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

Relevant Microsoft, networking, cybersecurity, firewall, cloud, virtualisation or IT service-management certifications will be advantageous.

5yrs+ previous relevant IT infrastructure and support experience.

2yrs+ previous experience managing or supervising an IT team.

Practical experience managing a multi-site or multi-company IT environment.

Strong experience in server, network, firewall, cybersecurity, backup and endpoint management.

Willingness to travel between offices and operational sites

Availability to assist with planned after-hours work and critical IT incidents.

Technical experience includes Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID, Virtualisation platforms, Server and endpoint patch management, Network switches, routers and wireless networks, Sophos or equivalent firewall platforms, VPN and remote-access services, Antivirus and endpoint detection and response, Backup and disaster-recovery platforms, Cloud storage and collaboration tools, IT asset and software licence management, System and network monitoring, IT helpdesk or ticketing systems, Cybersecurity incident management, IT budgeting, supplier management and capacity planning.
