Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock control procedures, receiving deliveries, monitoring stock movement, conducting stock counts, and ensuring accurate stock records at all times.

The ideal candidate must be organised, able to work under pressure, and preferably have experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming stock and deliveries.

  • Ensure quantities, quality, and pricing match invoices and purchase orders.

  • Capture stock accurately on the system.

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.

  • Monitor stock variances, damages, shortages, and wastage.

  • Ensure proper stock rotation procedures are followed.

  • Maintain accurate stock records and filing systems.

  • Issue stock to relevant departments as required.

  • Ensure all receiving and storage areas remain clean, neat, and organised.

  • Assist with wastage control and stock management processes.

  • Work closely with management and operational departments.

  • Report discrepancies and stock-related issues immediately.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in stock control and receiving within the hospitality industry.

  • Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is advantageous.

  • Experience working on MarketMan will be highly beneficial.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Stock rotation

    • Stock counts

    • Receiving procedures

    • Invoice checking

    • Stock issuing

    • Wastage control

  • Computer literate.

  • Strong administration skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Good organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Reliable, honest, and trustworthy.

  • Good understanding of stock management systems.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced hospitality / restaurant environment.
