Job Title: Lodge Manager
Job Purpose
The Lodge Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lodge or villa to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient service delivery, and smooth coordination across all departments.
This role includes managing staff, maintaining facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and upholding the lodge’s brand values. The Lodge Manager plays a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, team performance, and effective resource management while meeting financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the lodge or villa, including accommodation, food and beverage, dining, recreational activities, and guest services.
Supervise lodge staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction by providing personalised service and resolving guest issues or concerns professionally.
Enforce health and safety standards, procedures, and lodge policies.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Ensure a positive guest experience with strong attention to detail throughout each guest’s stay.
Coordinate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth lodge operations.
Maintain high service standards in line with the lodge’s brand and guest expectations.

Experience in managing all aspects of different lodge departments.
Excellent people skills.
Excellent computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, especially Excel, ResRequest, and Sage POS.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of wildlife conservation and sustainable practices.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure.
Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations and service standards.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar safari lodge operations position is highly advantageous.
Proven track record in leadership roles.
Valid driver’s licence.
