Executive Chef
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, staff leadership, food quality, and health and safety compliance.
The Executive Chef will work closely with various departments to create exceptional dining experiences for guests while managing budgets, stock control, and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all daily kitchen and culinary operations.
Plan, develop, and update menus according to lodge standards and guest expectations.
Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality.
Lead, train, mentor, and manage the kitchen team.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
Manage kitchen budgets, food costs, and inventory control.
Monitor stock levels and ensure proper purchasing and stock rotation.
Work closely with other departments to deliver a seamless guest dining experience.
Create innovative dishes and dining experiences that reflect the lodge’s standards.
Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
Handle guest dietary requirements and special requests professionally.
Minimum Requirements
Extensive culinary experience in a senior kitchen role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proven menu development and food presentation expertise.
Strong knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
Budget management and inventory control experience.
Creativity and passion for innovative cuisine.
Ability to work under pressure in a high-standard hospitality environment.
Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills.
