This is an exciting opportunity for a couple who are passionate about luxury hospitality, wildlife, outstanding guest service and leading a dedicated team in one of South Africa's premier luxury safari destinations. The Assistant Lodge Manager Couple, will support the Lodge Manager in the day-to-day operation of the lodge, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional stay while maintaining the highest standards across all departments.
Responsibilities will include
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure.
- Leading and motivating lodge staff through a hands-on management style.
- Overseeing Front Office, Guest Relations, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations.
- Assisting with lodge administration, reporting and operational planning.
- Maintaining the highest standards of presentation and service throughout the lodge.
- Handling guest requests and resolving challenges professionally.
- Supporting and developing team members through coaching and leadership.
- Building lasting relationships with guests, colleagues and travel partners.
One partner should have experience in
- Lodge Operations
- Guest Relations
- Front Office
- Food & Beverage
- Housekeeping
- Staff Management
- Administration and Reporting
- The second partner should have experience in one or more of the following:
- Safari Guiding (FGASA qualification advantageous)
- Hospitality Operations
- Food & Beverage
- Maintenance
- Guest Activities
- General Lodge Management
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in a luxury lodge or five-star hospitality environment
- A genuine passion for guest service and creating unforgettable experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy and experience with hospitality management systems.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Rooms Division Experience
- Practical with some experience in maintenance
- Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude.
- A willingness to live and work in a remote bush environment.
