Delete Your Careers Provider Account

Use this page to request permanent deletion of a Careers Provider account and the personal data associated with it. This process applies to accounts used on the Careers Provider website and Android app.

How account deletion works

  1. Submit the form below using the email address associated with your Careers Provider account.
  2. For security, Careers Provider may contact you to verify that you control the account.
  3. After verification, we will process the deletion request and confirm when it has been completed.
Never send us your password. Careers Provider will not ask you to provide your password in order to request account deletion.

What is deleted

When a verified deletion request is completed, Careers Provider will delete or anonymise personal data under our control that is associated with the account, subject to the retention exceptions described below. Depending on your account type, this may include:

  • account login and profile information;
  • jobseeker career preferences, saved jobs and job alerts;
  • CVs, profile images and documents uploaded to Careers Provider;
  • application information and messages stored by Careers Provider;
  • personal contact information associated with employer/recruiter or education-provider accounts.

For organisation accounts, published jobs, courses or other organisation records may need to be closed, anonymised, reassigned or retained where they form part of legitimate business records.

Information that may be retained

We may retain the minimum information necessary where required for legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, security, accounting, dispute-resolution or audit purposes. Information in backups may remain until the normal backup cycle overwrites it. Copies of information already provided to an employer, recruiter, education provider or other third party may also be subject to that recipient's own legal and retention obligations.

We aim to process verified deletion requests as soon as reasonably practicable and generally within 30 days. Data that must be retained for one of the reasons above will be kept only for as long as that reason applies, after which it will be deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
