Freelance Spa Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and professional Freelance Spa Therapist to join our wellness offering on an on-call basis. The successful candidate will provide exceptional spa treatments and guest experiences within a luxury game lodge environment.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated therapist who enjoys flexible work arrangements and is available to provide treatments based on guest bookings and lodge occupancy levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional spa treatments, including:

  • Swedish massage

  • Deep tissue massage

  • Hot stone therapy

  • Aromatherapy treatments

  • Body treatments and scrubs

  • Facials, advantageous

• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain exceptional hygiene standards.

• Ensure a welcoming, relaxing, and professional guest experience.

• Advise guests on wellness treatments and products where appropriate.

• Manage treatment schedules and appointments efficiently.

• Maintain accurate treatment records and stock usage.

• Represent the lodge’s hospitality and service standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Recognised Spa Therapy qualification.

• Minimum 3 years’ practical spa therapy experience.

• Experience within a luxury lodge, hotel, wellness retreat, or spa environment preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional appearance and presentation.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

• Resident of, or willing to travel to, the Bela-Bela/Waterberg area.

Engagement Model
