About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Project Management experience to join our team at Traq Software. This role primarily focuses on business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and stakeholder engagement, while also taking responsibility for coordinating and managing system implementation projects.
The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, and development teams to ensure business requirements are accurately documented and translated into effective technology solutions. In addition, the role will support project planning, progress tracking, risk management, stakeholder communication, and successful solution delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong business analysis skills, hands-on SQL experience, a solid understanding of SDLC methodologies, and proven experience coordinating or managing software implementation projects using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Monday.com, or similar platforms. Experience in HR Processes is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Process Analysis
- Understand business issues and data challenges within the industry.
- Gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas of improvement within business processes.
- Develop workflow diagrams, data flow models, and functional decomposition analysis.
- Ensure successful transition of solutions into production environments.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Develop detailed project plans that outline timelines, milestones, and resource allocation in alignment with organisational priorities.
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and propose effective solutions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions efficiently.
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
- Provide clear and structured documentation for business processes, functional specifications, and system designs.
- Prepare and present project documentation and reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and project performance.
- Assist in prioritising requirements and project deliverables.
- Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, timelines, and outcomes.
SQL & Data Management
- Write, optimise, and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Work with relational databases (SQL Server) to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in database design, performance tuning, and ETL processes.
Technical & Software Development Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business teams and development teams to ensure clear communication.
- Work closely with developers on system design, development, and testing.
- Review and analyse system functionalities and propose enhancements.
- Understand and document APIs, data structures, and software architecture.
Testing & Implementation
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure business needs are met.
- Identify, track, and resolve issues effectively.
- Work with business users to identify necessary system changes.
- Provide training and documentation for end-users and technical teams.
Compliance & Governance
- Conduct compliance audits and risk reviews to safeguard business and client interests.
- Proactively identify potential compliance or operational gaps and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all organisational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Undergo and complete all training on the LMS (Learner Management System) and other relevant portals (e.g. self-learning on SharePoint and/or in line with CPD - Continued Professional Development requirements).
- Handle information and data in line with classification levels as specified in the Information Security Policy.
- Report any non-conformances to policy and procedure to management promptly.
- Report and escalate all risks, potential risks, and material issues / concerns to management promptly.
- Maintain accurate records, information, and data (e.g. data captured on systems, reviewing of trackers, SharePoint webforms / folders, Excel spreadsheets, complaints and escalation logs and internal and client SLAs).
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Maintain and update operational documentation, process guides, and system usage instructions.
- Standardise practices and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions with internal teams and clients to ensure operational consistency.
Qualifications & Experience
- IT Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience.
- 3+ years of experience coordinating or managing software development or implementation projects.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools.
- 2+ years of hands-on SQL experience (writing queries, stored procedures, performance optimisation).
- Knowledge of software development and database administration is essential.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC processes and software implementation.
- Project Management certification advantageous
- Knowledge of HR and Recruitment Processes is a bonus.

General Work Conditions
- Office-based: Standard hours (08:00 – 16:30).
- Flexibility: May require work outside regular hours based on project needs.
