Support Culinary Excellence at a 5-Star Luxury LodgeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our award-winning culinary team at a premier 5-star property. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic kitchen environment and is passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional team environment.
  • Contribute to menu planning, development, and innovation, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in quality and portioning.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Step into the Head Chef role as needed, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
Requirements:
  • A relevant culinary qualification from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Sous Chef or similar role, preferably in a luxury or 5-star establishment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety protocols.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation and menu design.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Contactable references from previous employers.
