Job Overview:The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and profitability. This role focuses on maintaining high service standards, managing staff, and creating a memorable dining experience aligned with the boutique hotel’s brand and guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee all front-of-house restaurant operations to ensure smooth service deliveryManage, train, and supervise restaurant staff to maintain high performance standardsEnsure exceptional guest service and handle guest queries, complaints, and feedback professionallyCoordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food serviceMaintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all restaurant areasMonitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationshipsControl operational costs, including labour and stock, to meet budget targetsDevelop and implement service standards and standard operating proceduresAssist in menu planning, promotions, and special events
Manage reservations, seating plans, and table turnover efficientlyEnsure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulationsPrepare reports on sales, staff performance, and operational efficiencyDrive revenue through upselling, promotions, and excellent guest engagement
Minimum Requirements:Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related fieldProven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role (preferably in a boutique or luxury hotel environment)Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent knowledge of food and beverage service standardsFinancial understanding of budgeting, cost control, and revenue managementAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidaysPreferred Skills & Competencies:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service orientationAttention to detail and high standards of presentationProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong organisational and time-management skillsKnowledge of POS systems and restaurant management softwareAbility to motivate and develop a teamReporting To:Food & Beverage Manager / General ManagerWork Environment:Fast-paced boutique hotel restaurant requiring a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
