We are looking for an experienced Restaurant manager. Job Overview:The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient operations, and profitability. This role focuses on maintaining high service standards, managing staff, and creating a memorable dining experience aligned with the boutique hotel’s brand and guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee all front-of-house restaurant operations to ensure smooth service deliveryManage, train, and supervise restaurant staff to maintain high performance standardsEnsure exceptional guest service and handle guest queries, complaints, and feedback professionallyCoordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food serviceMaintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in all restaurant areasMonitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationshipsControl operational costs, including labour and stock, to meet budget targets
Develop and implement service standards and standard operating proceduresAssist in menu planning, promotions, and special eventsManage reservations, seating plans, and table turnover efficientlyEnsure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulationsPrepare reports on sales, staff performance, and operational efficiencyDrive revenue through upselling, promotions, and excellent guest engagement
Requirements:Micros System Experience required. 3 Years’ experience in a management position in a Restaurant / Hotel. Polite, friendly person with a strong personality that can think on their feet. Well-spoken and presented individual. Strong leader who can oversee employees. Grade 12 and computer literate. Formal hospitality degree/diploma preferable. Manager the entire service operation of the restaurant. Create and maintain relationships with guests in the restaurant. Daily meetings and handovers with staff rostering. Maintain and achieve restaurant targets. Do monthly stock takes
