We are seeking an experienced Logistics Dispatch Manager to oversee and optimise dispatch and fleet operations, ensuring seamless, safe, and timely delivery of goods. The role involves leading dispatch teams, improving route efficiency, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding quality, safety, and ISO standards, while collaborating with management and key departments to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
 
Minimum requirements:
  • Formal qualification in logistics or supply chain management (advantageous)
  • Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, supply chain management, or a related operational environment
  • Experience managing and supervising staff in a dispatch or warehouse setting
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective time-management and planning skills for both staff and operations
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and optimise delivery routes and resource allocation
  • Experience coordinating deliveries, pickups, and driver communication
  • Ability to oversee loading processes, conduct final quality checks, and manage dispatch documentation
  • Experience managing inventory, including stock control, stock rotation, ageing, and redundant stock
  • Knowledge of fleet management and vehicle maintenance standards
  • Willingness and ability to manage operational systems, including fleet, dispatch, and tracking systems (training provided)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic administrative skills
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills to improve operational efficiency
  • Good HR and IR knowledge relevant to staff management
  • Working knowledge of ISO standards and adherence to SOPs (training provided)
  • Sound understanding of health, safety, and housekeeping requirements
  • Commitment to company policies, procedures, quality management, and compliance standards
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve delivery-related issues effectively
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license
