The purpose of this role is to oversee the business’s financial strategy, ensuring strong financial governance, long-term growth, and sound financial management.

The successful candidate will provide strategic financial expertise to support executive decision-making and long-term business performance.

• Create and implement a financial plan aligned with company goals.

• Supervise forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, IFRS, and GAAP requirements.

• Manage capital structure, funding strategies, and cash flow.

• Oversee internal controls, audit procedures, and risk management.

• Provide financial performance insights and strategic advice to the CEO and Board.

• Identify strategic financial opportunities to support business growth.

• Develop, lead, and oversee the finance team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.

• MBA or postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a CFO or Financial Director role within an FMCG or manufacturing business.

• Experience in a business with turnover of R300 million or more per annum.

• Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and execution.

• Strong experience in financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.

• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.

• Advanced financial analysis and critical thinking skills.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• High level of integrity and strong governance focus.
