The purpose of this role is to oversee the business’s financial strategy, ensuring strong financial governance, long-term growth, and sound financial management.
The successful candidate will provide strategic financial expertise to support executive decision-making and long-term business performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement a financial plan aligned with company goals.
Supervise forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, IFRS, and GAAP requirements.
Manage capital structure, funding strategies, and cash flow.
Oversee internal controls, audit procedures, and risk management.
Provide financial performance insights and strategic advice to the CEO and Board.
Identify strategic financial opportunities to support business growth.
Develop, lead, and oversee the finance team.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
MBA or postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a CFO or Financial Director role within an FMCG or manufacturing business.
Experience in a business with turnover of R300 million or more per annum.
Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and execution.
