REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Xero or related accounting software advantageous!
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Xero or related Accounting Software ESSENTIAL!
3+ yrs working experience as a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant.
Understanding of South African accounting principles and tax regulations is a plus.
Administrative Support
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Practice Manager, including scheduling meetings, managing communications, and maintaining records.
Assist in preparing documents, reports, and presentations as needed.
Manage office supplies and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
Assist with the onboarding of new clients, including setting up client files and ensuring compliance with internal processes.
Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Bookkeeping Duties
Manage a portfolio of clients' financial records using Xero, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and prepare financial reports.
Assist with tax preparation, including VAT returns, ensuring compliance with South African tax laws.
Implement and manage automation processes using Xero and Dext to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
Maintain strong client relationships by providing accurate financial insights and support.
